Born in Tenerife and raised in Berlin during a time of significant cultural change across Germany, Lin Beeser has always known how to flourish regardless of circumstance or limitation. A chance discussion with a family friend would inspire her to pursue a degree at the prestigious Central St. Martin’s College of Art & Design. This accomplishment would mark the beginning of her ascent into the wider world, securing professional placements in New York, Milan and London over several years with a mix of international brands. Every beginning has an end, and it wasn’t long before Lin chose to found her own womenswear line LIN ART PROJECT.
One of the intrinsic elements of the brand is a symbiotic relationship between London and Berlin, each city providing a flurry of inspiration amidst the people and their emotions, the pull & charm of two vibrant European cities rich in terms of art, music, events and nature. In addition to being cosmopolitan, her nonchalant and fun-driven spirit has made the label a hit among women who like a little glitz and tend not to take things in life too seriously!
Heidi Klum, Cara Delevingne and Paris Hilton, amongst others, have identified what makes this label so appealing. The brand’s reputation as a celebrity favorite helped to fuel the successful expansion. Today, LIN ART PROJECT is sold in the most hip and prestigious boutiques and department stores allover the world.
LIN ART PROJECT identifies its purpose as a means of offering unique garments which proudly convey a marriage of authenticity, exclusivity, a distinct signature and perhaps most importantly, unconditional passion. Fine quality materials, a unique play in construction and craftsmanship each jostle for center ground. The design process begins with Lin focusing on a particular idea, which she then proceeds to develop, sample and style entirely for herself, rarely making sketches and opting to hand over her first piece directly to production.
Every style has its story. When it comes to manufacturing, her staff are set the ambitious task of ensuring that the bulk is identical to the original… or even better! One thing is certain; each piece is consistently created with the same love and care as the prototype.
Season-after-season, the company strives to deliver a garment that feels like one-of-a-kind. For Lin, if an item is mass-produced, it doesn’t matter how prestigious the fabrics are, there is an apparent flatness to it. With much effort and pride, the secret behind her success is the vitality she manages to capture, package and pair with a customer, each design reflective of herself in a variety of ways. To ensure this carefully controlled process, Lin’s collections are made in Germany, in production facilities located around the brands Headquarters. She collaborates intimately with small family-owned businesses that work exclusively for her. Most of the styles are hand-made, whereby the applications are hand drawn, cut and then sewn. In addition, fabrics and accessories are sourced mainly in Italy. Perhaps it is this select combination and special processing that often sets each collection apart visually, from what might normally be found in the designer section.
